Accepting these terms
These terms cover your use of the Bedrock Solon Concrete website and any estimate, agreement or job you arrange with us. If you use the site, call us or ask for an estimate, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
"We," "us" and "our" mean Bedrock Solon Concrete. "You" means the person using the site or hiring us for work. You can return to the home page at any time to see the services and cities we work in.
What we do
We're a concrete contractor in Solon, OH. Our work includes driveways, patios, sidewalks, steps, garage floors, stamped and decorative concrete, retaining walls, slabs, footings, foundations, foundation raising and concrete cutting. You can read more about our crew and how we work on our About page.
The descriptions on this site are general. The scope of your job is set by your written estimate or agreement, so if the two ever differ, the written estimate or agreement controls.
Estimates and pricing
Estimates are free, done at your property, and come with no obligation. An estimate is based on what we can see and measure that day, including the size of the area, how much old concrete has to come out, access for the truck and the condition of the ground.
Some things only show up once the old slab is out, such as soft or wet subgrade, which is the soil the new slab sits on, buried debris or roots. If we find something that changes the work or the price, we'll stop, show you and get your approval before we go ahead. We don't add charges you haven't agreed to.
Unless your estimate says otherwise, it's good for the period written on it. After that, material prices may have changed and we may need to update it.
Scheduling, weather and cancellation
We schedule pours around the weather because rain, freezing temperatures and extreme heat can all hurt the surface of new concrete. If the forecast turns, we'll move your date and tell you as early as we can. A weather delay isn't a breach of our agreement by either of us.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, call us as soon as you know. Any deposit, cancellation fee or charge for materials already ordered will be spelled out in your written agreement, so read that part before you sign.
Payment
Payment terms, including any deposit and when the balance is due, are written in your estimate or agreement. We'll go over them with you before work starts.
If a balance goes unpaid past its due date, we may charge late fees stated in your agreement and use the remedies Ohio law allows. We'd much rather talk it through, so call us if a payment is going to be late.
Your part of the job
You agree to give our crew clear access to the work area, to tell us about anything buried that public utility marking won't catch, such as sprinkler lines, drain pipes or private wiring, and to make sure you have the right to have the work done on the property.
New concrete needs time to cure, which is the wait while it hardens and gains strength before it can carry weight. You agree to keep foot traffic, vehicles and heavy loads off the new concrete for the times we give you. Damage caused by using it too early isn't covered by our guarantee.
If the job needs a permit or approval from your city or homeowners association, we'll talk with you about who handles it before work begins.
Our guarantee and what it doesn't cover
We stand behind our work and offer satisfaction guaranteed on every job. If something isn't right, call us and we'll come look at it.
Concrete is a natural material, and it can still get small hairline cracks even when it's built right. We cut control joints, which are planned grooves that give the slab a place to crack in a straight line, so most cracks end up where they don't show. Small shrinkage cracks, slight color differences and normal surface wear aren't defects.
Our guarantee doesn't cover damage from things outside our control, including ground movement, tree roots, flooding, frost heave from poor drainage we didn't build, deicing salts, loads heavier than the slab was built for, or changes and repairs made by others.
Information on this website is provided as is, for general use. We try to keep it accurate, but we don't promise it's complete or current, and it isn't a substitute for an on-site estimate.
Limitation of liability
To the extent Ohio law allows, Bedrock Solon Concrete isn't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, such as lost use of a driveway while concrete cures, arising from your use of this site or our work.
Our total liability for any claim about a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited under the law.
Settling a disagreement
If you have a problem with our work or a bill, call us first at (440) 560-8533. Most issues get sorted out when we come back out and look at the concrete together.
If we can't settle it that way, either of us may take it to a court with jurisdiction over Solon, Ohio. You and we each agree to try in good faith to resolve the matter directly before filing a claim.
Governing law
These terms and any agreement between you and Bedrock Solon Concrete are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to rules that would apply another state's law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes take effect when we post them on this page, and they don't change a written agreement you've already signed with us.
